Youtube Settings (Yes i just heard you say urghh)

Baseing the render on Apple iPod 640 x 480 what settings do i need to change to get 100mb per 10 min and the youtube widescreen size?

If you want widescreen 16:9 then the dimensions should be set to 640×360. As I said before, use Two Pass and lower the average bit rate to between 1,200,000 and 1,300,000 bps and you should hit your 100mb per 10 minutes.

YouTube HD can be either 1280×720 or 1920×1080. personally, I feel that 1920×1080 is ridiculous for internet video so I upload all of my HD videos at 1280×720.

No, the file size is determined by the bit rate. Of course, you should increase the bit rate if you increase your resolution to make sure that you have enough bits to accurately represent the frame.

That’s the problem. If you want to maintain the same file size you can’t increase the bit-rate. I guess what I’m saying is, forget about HD if you don’t want to increase the file size. I would use at least 2,500,000 – 3,000,000 for 720p HD but that will make your file almost twice as big. (don’t forget HD is 5x the information of SD)
