Unable to export to .mov
Hi
I’m trying to export a QT .mov from Avid, but i keep getting “parameter error: This export format my require video or audio tracks”. I assumed it was because there was unrendered effects – so after rendering the effects I try to export again but the same error occurs. Going back to the timeline and hitting render effects, it says I have effects still to render, despite the fact that i’ve just rendered them.
Anyone know what is going on here?
Any help youcould provide would be very much appreciated.

I am trying to remember when I have seen this myself.. what frame rate is the project? How many video and audio layers? Do any of the audio tracks start with black (no audio)? Are there mixed video or audio formats in the timeline? Try doing an audio mixdown and try again.

Are you exporting to an external hard drive (usb, 1394), etc..)? I’ve seen this error occur if I have Avid up and running and plug in an external drive and try to export to it. Quiting and restarting Avid or plugging the drive in prior to starting Avid will allow you to export.

I have had this issue recently and all I did was choose to save to a different drive or volume. It sound odd and not related to the error message but, thats computers.
