    Hi folks
I’m working on an A2 size poster in Illustrator CS (I’ve got a 3 gig pentium 4 with 1.5 gig of Ram and I’ve set the scratch discs to drives with plenty of space). I’ve built it up with 30 layers in Illustrator CS2 and I want to export to psd (420 x 594 pixels at 300 dpi) but I get a message telling me there is not enough memory to complete the task! The file is not terribly complicated either. Am I missing something?

Have you tried saving as an AI file then opening in Photoshop?

Or do you need to preserve the layers?

Yes, I need the layers. I’ve been deleting junk off my hard drives to see if the freed up space makes any difference and nothing so far. It seems to be just the size of the document. I’ve had no problems with A4 size. I’ve had the Windows task manager open and checked the memory while trying to export and can confirm there’s plenty of space left.
