    Hi There,

I’m new to Premiere Pro, but have been editing for quite a while on Avid.

Once I have created a sequence in Premiere Pro CS4 and attempt to export, I run into a few problems. The biggest issue is that after I have created the export settings, Adobe Media Encoder opens up with the sequence name listed in the render queue; however, when I start the queue, nothing happens – t just says “waiting’.

The bottom line is that I’m unable to export any type of file from Premiere Pro which is quite frustrating.

When I just throw a pre-existing file into the Encoder, it works well, but any sequence that I attempt to export from Premiere will not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the club.

Isn’t it wonderful not to be able to actually render / create the movie from your sequence? Ah, Adobe, thanks. CS3’s Export Movie command was easy, quick, logical—couldn’t let that remain the case I guess.

My decked out, top of the line Macbook Pro has the same problem. I can wait a week and it’ll never encode the movie. Finally I have to Force Quit.

I have a pretty large project, not so many layers but ~1 hr 20 mins in length. I guess it’s just too big for Adobe… Time to move soon to Final Cut I guess…
