  Unable to connect mic to media composer

  Hello,

  I have media composer and in order to record voice tracks I have a tubepre connected to a mic and the tubepre connected right into the computer in order to record. The settings in capture mode I have used are to turn off the deck, switch to windows mixer and turn on auto detect. This usually works but for some reason I can’t seem to get it to work now. I have the mic connected to the tubepre and the meter is working so I know that all works. I have a brand new cable going into the computer so I’m thinking maybe it a setting or something that may have been changed ?

  Any ideas as to why this wouldn’t be working all of a sudden? Am I missing a step?
