    Hello,

I plugged in a friends JVC camera into my computer via USB. This is the same way that I have hooked up my Sony PD-150 and Panasonic DVX. However, when I try to capture video, I get the following prompt from Vegas: “the device ‘conexant 2388x video capture could not be opened. Please make sure that it is turned on and is not being used by another application.” Do I have to have special software installed for consumer-grade cameras? Is there any difference between these and the Prosumer models as far as capturing video?

    Thanks,

    Jerry
