I’ve stabilized a shot to make rotoscoping easier. I precomposed & keyframed my masks. Now I want to “undo” the stabilize…
I’m assuming i need to use expressions to interpret anchor point data but I have no experience with expressions.
    all help is greatly appreciated!

if i delete my anchor point keyframes all my roto masks will be off. i need to somehow re-apply motion to the nested/precomposed comp that is based on the stabilize data. here’s the layout:

stabilized footage in comp A > nest comp A in comp B & animate masks > nest comp B in comp C and (somehow) un-stabilize

Alright, I got it to work with some footage I have on the system. This is how I did it:

    Comp A: Stabilized Footage
Comp B: Rotoscoping from stabilized footage
Comp C: Original Footage + Comp B (Precomped of course).

All I had to do is copy the anchor point keyframes of the stabilized footage to Comp B’s position data in Comp C. The mask lined up precisely with the tracking data. Give ‘er a shot.

    anchor point = position

is the basic expression you are looking for.

    Good luck
