Before I start experimenting with my data, I need to ask; I have a brand new (2) TB ext. drive. I partitioned it into a (1) TB and a (2) 500 GB section.

Sadly, I did not realize I was going to fill up the (1) TB partition so fast on this particular HD job. The other (2) 500 GB sections are still empty. Now I wish I hadn’t partitioned this drive at all. I need the space. Is there a way to UN-partition these empty sections? Do I have to go buy another EXT drive to first copy to?

    Thanks….

Sorry to tell you, but reformatting the HD is the only way to go.
IMHO partitioning only make sense when you need to install more than one operative system on asingle HD.
