Un-animated noise…?
Posted by Erin Shelby on October 14, 2006 at 4:11 pmWhen I apply noise to a solid is animates like snow on a tv screen, but I just want random dots, essentially. Is there a way to ‘freeze’ a noise frame?

October 14, 2006 at 5:45 pmAuto Noise will create noise on every frame. There is another Moise plugin that doesn’t auto-animate. Have a look-see in the sub-menu, under effects->noise.

October 14, 2006 at 5:47 pmFor ultimate control use Fractal Noise (set octaves to 1, it’s sufficient)and scale it down ’til it’s very small. Variation can be controlled using Evolutions.
