ultrascope software via thunderbolt
Hi Guys,
our blackmagic cinema camera just arrived and I managed to test the ultrascope software on a 13 inch macbook pro. The problem is that I cannot display all 6 displays for monitoring because of the screen resolution.
Is there any other way aside from getting a 5 inch macbook pro to fully display all of them?

iMac will also do it.

Yeah it will do but bringing an imac on set is quite cumbersome. I guess there’s no choice but to go 15 inch then. Thanks a lot.

Not just 15, but retina 15. Need 1920×1080+ for 6 up display,

Hi,
I tried UltraScope on my MacBook Pro Retina 13″. Whilst UltraScope will run, the performance is not great. However I see someone has mentioned recently on another forum that a program like Quickres might allow you to run all six scopes at once.
The MacBook Pro Retina only allows up to the equivalent of 1680×1050, whereas the six-up view needs at least 1920×1080. Quickres allows you to use resolutions all the way up to the retina display’s native resolution. I can’t verify this myself right now, and I expect performance will be even worse, but maybe if you want to try it on this system, it seems like the only way to go.
