  Ultra Studio Audio

  We recently installed an Ultra Studio pro on a new Windows box running Symphony 6 and we’re having audio issues. Basically, we can’t hear clips unless they’re in the timeline. If I play a clip in the Symphony source monitor, no audio. If I edit the clip into the timeline I can hear it. We called Blackmagic and were told it was designed that way. That can’t be right, can it? Am I nuts? (about this, not in general)
