Nope. The videos that look better are working directly with YouTube and as such,they don’t get compressed as much, if at all. It’s kind of like a “bait and switch.” The pro movie trailers look great, but your standard user video will be compressed like heck.

I stopped even trying to make our YouTube videos look good, they are what they are.

Yes, Youtube has been dramatically updated in recent months making it possible to upload substancially higher quality clips. Even though Youtube’s Flash compression is still not the greatest, starting with the highest quality video just under 1024Mb will yield better results.

You didn’t mention how long the clips are that you’re putting up on Youtube.
