    Ultimate Flash Bit Rate Calculator
    https://www.adobe.com/devnet/flash/apps/flv_bitrate_calculator/

This is major useful for many folks because the Adobe Flash Bit Rate Calculator includes targeting information.

    They include:
    Video motion
    Audio content
    Flash Player targeted
    HTTP vs RTMP delivery

It’ll show you the appropriate video and audio codec
    Spark, VP6 E and S, H.264
    MP3 or AAC

You can select the frame size aspect ratio (there’s the link to suggestions based on 4, 8, 16 block guideline)

It reports the video, audio, overall data rate and includes the recommended connection speed (taking overhead into account).

In addition, you can download the settings file for Squeeze or Flix (but not Episode yet).

    Thanks for posting this !

How would it apply if you’re using Quicktime ?

Does anyone know if this Speed Test is accurate ?

    https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Or have a better one ?

    Thanks.

Depends what Quicktime Codec you are using.

I use https://www.speedtest.net/ – also available as an iPhone app and very flexible as it allows you to choose servers all over the world to test connections to.

Hate that the Squeeze setting export grays out if it’s H.264.

This may be a stupid question but when I download the squeeze project file and open it I cannot find the audience preset file with settings from the calculator. Am I doing something wrong?
