    Hi,
My final work must be 16:9 for UK widescreen.
I’ve recieved a bit of info in the After Effects forum but am still a little confused.
    Should my sequence settings be 768 x 576 4:3 Anamporphic 16:9, or should they be 720 x 576 5:4 anamorphic 16:9.
Even though screen is square pixels and tv is rectangular, should it be looking correct in FCP, or should it look squashed?
    Thanks

    James

What’s the source video? DV? then it should be PAL DV anamorphic, and it shouldn’t look squished in FCP at any rate…

I’m not using any DV footage, just cut out graphics in photoshop, animated in After Effects…although i fear i’ve messed up the settings through out.

    Hi,

I usually use the 1024 x 576 Composition setting in AE 6. 720.576 is the frame size of DV and 768×576 is the ‘FULL’ UK TV frame size for SD TV. If you want 16:9 version, yes they should be ananmorphic.

I’m sure you can adjust the project settings in AE if you are not sure.
