April 21, 2006 at 11:49 pmturning off the shadows fixes it.
But how can I do it WITH shadows and keep it nice?
I know clients will want it like that. -

April 22, 2006 at 12:58 amYou should generally avoid using the native FCP title generators.
Instead, use “Title 3D” that is one of the other choices in your Generators menu.

April 24, 2006 at 3:27 pmI would also check your sequence settings. If the text is not animated a sequence with a field dominance set will make it look aliased. I would change your sequence setting, field dominance = none. This should clean it up 100%, let me know if it works.

April 24, 2006 at 4:43 pmThanks for the suggestions guys.
Yes, the text looks quite ugly and we are monitoring on our
pro sony SDI monitor that has 900 lines of resolution.as a test I made a DVD and the text looks way ugly there as well
and it should look nice so something is definitely wrong. Are you sure that field dominance should be zero?
These are being output to Digibeta and thus it must be interlaced.

Wow!
What a great titler. Couldn’t live without it for sure.
