    Hello!

I bring updates, friends! Thank you again for your help so far – the new PC is almost done.
Now, having bought an AMD R9 390X graphics card, 16Gb RAM DDR3, i7 4790k CPU… I am curious regarding the monitor that I should get to make sure my Video Editing is as precise and correct as possible.

I’m working in Sony Vegas (and After Effects) so the colors must be perfect. Apparently, many people praise the DELL U2414H monitor.

This monitor seems to do its job right, it has an HDMI connection (which I need), it has an IPS panel, 16.77m colors… BUT it has a response time of 8ms.

Will this affect Video Editing? Should I get something else? I cannot really afford something more pricey than this…

Could you please offer me some advice? Thank you!

But how will I know that I am sync-ing the sound effects perfectly? :)))

As far as my understanding of how millisecond effects video editing, an 8MS monitor should be good for about 125FPS editing. Assuming that 8MS monitor is actually refreshing the screen faster than 125Hz. 30FPS is only like 33ms response.
