This may seem like a really stupid question but……..I have been
using the Type on Text following along with the training. I have
what I would like as far as text…….how do I get a transparent
background instead of the black I see in the preview window. I have
a background picture that I want to use…..for the web. I guess
the bottom line is……Is the black really black or is it transparent?

Make sure you use the Default Text (it’s the one that’s transparent) and that it’s on a separate track over top of your picture.

If you used the Generated Media Text then on the Properties page under Background Color, pull the transparency down to the bottom (zero)
