Type on Text / Extruded Text take forever to playback
Dunno what’s going on but my PC should be good enough to render a preview of Type on Text.
PC –
Radeon HD 5870
i7 @ 3.8 Ghz
6 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bitWhen I create a text animation it will freeze in the preview window, then it will jump to another part of it’s animation like 10 seconds later as if it were a slideshow.
Also it required me to enable OpenGL to properly use Type on Text/Extruded Text, I clicked Yes obviously, but is there a place to configure OpenGL? Maybe that is hindering Type on Text?

Hi Darren,
The Type-on and Extruded text plug-ins are hardware accelerated and require OpenGL to render. The only level of configuration that is required for these filters is with regard to the video card driver so it may be that you need to update the driver for the video card on your system. I’d start with that, updating the driver to the most recent available on the ATI site for that card to see if it helps.
