I’m doing a project for a non-profit…I’d love to do some text animations using text and the Braille equivalent…but I can’t figure out how to input text in AE using the Apple Braille font. (I’m on a mac)

I’ve done some searching and I’m having success getting it in text edit.app but I can’t seem to get it to work in AE.

Anyone ever do this or know any suggestions?

    Hi Jason –

I’m a PC user, so I’m a bit in the dark as to why the Apple Braille font won’t work in AE. I’m wondering if, rather than a system font, the Braille font might be in some sort of “accessibility” mode.

If you’re under the gun, here’s a workaround – the Braille font is available as a free Truefype font for the Mac at:

    https://www.searchfreefonts.com/free/braille.htm

If this installs and works fine in AE I think the Braille font on the Mac may not be your standard font as we know it. Good luck.

Works great! Thanks so much…I guess a google search probably brought that up in a few seconds 🙂

I was wondering how to access those braille characters that come with the mac os. I guess it’s likely through the accessibility controls like you suggest.

    I’m moving on! 🙂

    Thanks again!
