two videos with the same audio track
Posted by Patrizia Monzani on April 6, 2011 at 4:34 pmhi everybody!
I’m not a DVD studio Pro expert and I’m trying to link two versions of my film to the same audio
I need to use one single audio because those 115MB are exactly what make me exceed the 4.7 MB of a normal DVD and I don’t want to use a doble layer.can someone help me?
thanks

April 6, 2011 at 8:12 pmAre you using ac3 audio?
That’s not that much over so you’ll proably need to re encode one of the pieces

April 6, 2011 at 8:48 pmYeah I’d just re-encode at a lower bitrate. You can’t do what you want here…

April 6, 2011 at 10:21 pmAre you doing your MPEG2 and audio encoding in something like Compressor or BitVice? Or are you just dragging QuickTime/etc files into DVDSP and letting it do the encoding?
If you are letting DVDSP do the encoding, I would suggest doing it manually in something like Compressor so you have more control over how your space is used.

April 7, 2011 at 6:51 amactually I’m using compressor and I thoguht I had found the best quality-small compression solution and when I tried to do the DVD and saw it was just the 115 MG of the audio … I thought it could be a solution to use only one audio track
but it seems not, so I’ll try another compression

April 7, 2011 at 5:17 pmYeah it’s the right compression- just lower the bitrate a little bit and you’ll be fine.
