    Hello,
I produced a series of DVD’s in English a few years back and I received a email request today to help these same people put a second sound track on the DVD in Japanese. The DVD has 10 segments 20-30 minutes long each and is on a dual layered DVD. I am envisioning a alternate sound track but have no Idea how to set it up. AND I know this will entail a considerable amount of work and time to re-encode.

Any thoughts on the easiest process would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

What’s a big deal? Work with Japanese soundtrack in FCP as if it were English one. Then transcode it into dvd compatible format, import into dvd studio pro or whatever authoring suite you used to work with, remake menu to add second language. That’s it.
