    Hi,

    Two quick questions:

    1. If you black a tape as Non Drop Frame, and you’re editing to tape, does your sequence also have to be Non Drop Frame? We’ve been having some problems with dropping frames after we edit to tape, and i don’t know if it’s because our sequence settings are different from the actual tape setting.

    2. When we’re exporting a quicktime movie and giving it to our graphics people, for some reason they are receiving the movie with 11 extra frames of black. Any idea why this could be?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

    1. Your timecode format on the tape MUST match the format of your timeline. In Avid land, it wouldn’t even attempt the output. I am amazed that FCP allows you to try. It is always advisable to use drop frame code. The only time I ever see non-drop code is on camera masters. Edit masters…ALWAYS Drop Frame.

    2. Are you sure your IN and OUT points are set correctly?
