I am having 2 problems with a newly installed Xpress DV at one of my freelance jobs.

    1) The freeze function is grayed out and will not work.

    2) Any time I try to play back something in either the source or composer monitor, the video gets dark. Not too dark to see, but maybe around 75% of what it should be.

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Jeff

I don’t know about the freeze frame, could be a differentiation issue between products.

The color shift issue is becuase of the Open GL card using the overlay function and needs to be adjusted at the OS Graphics Card level.

It happens to me when i used to make a freeze frame.

If you have the two monitors(the one wiht the clip on the left and the compositor on the right), you should choose the one on the left to make a freeze frame.

I mean that you should decide the frame you like in the timelne window, and then make a match frame to choose the frame for freezing.

    This way it should work.

    LUCK!!
