Two Problems with BCC deinterlace / RED deinterlace in Sony Vegas 11.0
I face the two following problems:
– When I apply BCC deinterlace in Sony Vegas 11.0, the output looks very strange. It seems to show one field normal and the other field upside-down! (Screen shot: https://f1.creativecow.net/4197/bcc-deinterlace-problem) Changing the settings of BCC deinterlace doens’t affect this behaviour. Any idea what could I be doing wrong?
I’m using:
– Sony Vegas 11.0 Build 595 (64 bit)
– BCC 8.0.1 (64 bit)
– 720 * 576 PAL footage, upper field first, Sony IMX 50 encoded– When I apply Boris RED 5 as a filter in Vegas and use the deinterlace filter in RED, it works very well! However, if I apply RED as a track filter in Vegas, the deinterlace filter seems not to handle well the alpha channel. When I do a fade-in on my video event in Vegas, the deinterlace filter produces a very strange output during the fading!
I’m using:

The issue is currently being investigated by engineering … we don’t have a fix for it just yet but as soon as we do it will be posted as a free update on our web site.
