Two movieclips in one timeline.

First post from my behalf.
I’m sorry if this topic already have been discussed, I couldn’t find a search-engine anywhere.As the topic suggest, I need help to create two movie-clips in one scene/timeline. I have posted a picture below, edited in Photoshop, to give you a hint of what I mean.
I have no problem cropping the movie-clips. My problems are;
1) How to get the clips in the same scene/timeline.
2) How to move them up and down to fit, like my edited-picure illustrates.If you do not know what I mean, please contact me and I will try to give a better explanation.

First I am assuming that the two clips are actually partial clips. That is , that they are cropped sections of a clip.
Place clip one on track one and use pan and crop to get the size that you want and use track motion to position it. Do the same with clip two on track two. Both will appear as you show them in one scene. -
1) How to get the clips in the same scene/timeline.
Place clip 1 on track 1 and clip 2 on track 2.
Use Track Motion to shrink as desired.2) How to move them up and down to fit, like my edited-picure illustrates.
