  • Two different but equally annoying problems having to do with thumbnails and audio

I run PP CC with the latest updates on Windows 7. I7-processor and 16gb RAM, and SSD as main drive.

Problem one: When there are many video files in a folder, in my case; video from a Canon 60D, and I scroll down the list watching the thumbnails form, if I go a bit to fast then the thumbnails stop filling in and suddenly I cant load any video to preview or even play any video at all for that matter. This forces me to restart the program. The only way that works is for me to wait a little until the thumbnail at the lowest row is filled in before I scroll down another row – this gets old quickly. I can switch to list-view but that does not give me much of an idea of what the file contains. Does anyone know why I get this odd crash like behavior?

Problem two: Sometimes and quite often, when I drag in a piece of audio from outside PP, not the media browser, afterwards I cant move anything around anymore. Regions won´t move no matter what I do, so I have to restart and then everything is fine.

I´ve tried posting on Adobes Forum but get no help there…

Processing… I noticed this in CS6 Premiere. Until the program processes all the meta data in the folder, you can’t scroll down and look thru the folder because it jumps back to the start every 1-3 seconds. This goes on for a long while until PP is done “processing”. It also does it with image files. If this was the way Bridge worked… well. It wouldn’t because I would never have used it again. It is annoying. If you import the whole folder yes that works but only because the processing has been done then.
