  • Two comp monitor situation?.

    Hello.
Until not long ago I managed to do this. Now, on a different machine I can’t get the setup…
I am trying to be able and teak something in side a precomp, and other than ‘seeing’ what i am doing on the precomp monitor, to be able and see on another monitor the main comp…
So basically if I want to be able to have a 2 view situation where I can view the main comp of my project AND the precomp that I am tweaking inside that main project, what are the basic steps I should follow?

    Thanks and Good weekend.

I’m in CS3, so I’m not sure if this will work in previous version, but here’s how I achieved this:

    1. In your main comp window, click the pulldown menu and select “New Comp Viewer.” This will open a second comp window (or tab).

    2. Select your precomp from the newly created comp viewer.

    3. Drag the tab to the edge of the window. You should see a purple drop zone appear on the edge.

Now you should have two views available that will allow you to view both comps at the same time.

Also, if you want you can lock the main comp window so when you drill down into precomps, you’re still viewing the “master” comp.

Paul you were right on my problem.
    Thank you!
Dragging the edge and putting it in ‘its own new spot’ made it happen.
