    Howdy,

Yesterday I shot a motivational speaker. I used a wireless mic directly into the camera. I used only one XLR input but recorded on two channels in the camera. The thinking was that if one channel went bad I would have one good channel. The audio level of the second channel was set slightly lower. So, now I have it on the timeline, and would like to delete one of the channels. Is this possible? Or, if not, mute one channel? Thanks in advance.

Right-click the audio event and select Channels – Left (or Right) only.
This turns it into a mono track which is what you want.

Glad to help Gary. I use the technique you mentioned on every interview I do and it’s saved me a few times when the speaker gets kinda loud 🙂
