I need to put two stereo audio tracks into one new track. One on the right channel, the other on the left. I know enough to use “combine” to make each original mono, but I need help pasting(?) to each new channel. (I want to do this so that I can use a volume envelope on the new track.)

    Thanks for any help.

Just route both tracks to a single bus and then apply the volume envelope to the bus.

You can also create a new project and render the audio out to a new file with the one on the left and the other on the right.
