  • Two AE CS4 Issues… RAM Preview Warning Msg & Camera Focus Distance indicator

Posted by Stephen Rutherford on July 9, 2009 at 2:54 pm

    1) After a RAM preview, I keep getting the following warning message:

After I click either “OK” or the “X” about a hundred times the message does go away. Restarting doesn’t work (program or system).

    Any ideas?

I’m using CS4 on a Vista 64 bit machine, if that makes a difference.

    2) Working with cameras in CS4, is there a way to see the focus distance line when looking at top/left/right views as was in CS3? I know it’s a silly thing, but I actually used it and I can’t seem to find it!

    Okay, I’m an idiot…

You have to have DOF on to see the focus line… I knew that!

Now, the error message is still a problem 😉

    THANKS!

Make sure that you’ve installed the After Effects CS4 (9.0.2) update. It fixed an error that sounds an awful lot like the one that you’re seeing.

I installed the update and have been using it for a while now… It seems to be fixed. Thanks!
