I’m trying to knock the speed down to super slow motion of someone running from 100% to about 2% to give that 1000 fps look. What gave me the idea is watching that bmx video which was shot on a 7D, 720p 60fps and than used twixtor to make it look 1000 fps. I’m trying to replicate that effect.

I’ve prepared my footage off my T2i as 720p 60 fps, 1/1000 shutter speed. Footage looks nice. My question is, I used the speed setting in Twixtor (AE) set key frames so at a certain point it slows down to like almost a crawl. Why is the duration shortened? I thought this would make the clip longer? How do I correct for this? In case you are wondering about the sequence I was talking about, here’s the link.
