Twixtor, FCPX and Compound Clips
I’m not a Twixtor expert. I’ve only played around with it in it’s demo/trial mode. But one of the things that I didn’t like with Twixtor was that if you wanted to slow down a clip, it’s full duration, you had to do it in a separate sequence. You had to make the separate sequence longer in order to extend the slowed down clip enough to see it all. I believe this is driven by the NLE, not Twixtor.
With FCPX you do this with compound clips, as their demo shows here on the Cow.
To me FCPX’s use of compound clips seems to be a better workflow than having separate sequences.
Then again, I’m not a Twixtor user at this point.
So I wondered what anyone else thought about this.
