Twisting Ribbon
Posted by Chris Mathews on March 9, 2016 at 8:44 amDoes anyone have idea how the twisting logo at the end of this video is created. I tried with twist deformer, but no luck.

March 9, 2016 at 9:47 amHello,
depends how the logo-grid is in space!
create a grid: Orientation +Y change it to the desired form,
then atache a Twist deformer, do not Fit to parent!,rotate the Twist-
deformer in P to 90degrees, now you should see the twist-effect, change the twist-deformers size
as you need it if, you now move/translate the deformer in z the twist is travelling trough the
grid,
hope this was clear -

March 9, 2016 at 2:34 pmohh sorry,
if you have access to studio/character you can then bind the grid eg. with two nulls
see attached example https://f1.creativecow.net/9870/bend-with-bind?uploaded=file
or this will also work https://vimeo.com/17051922 🙂
good luck
