Twisting a DNA strand?
So I’ve made a simple DNA strand out of 2 long Cylinders and a bunch of spheres. I’ve grouped everything together in a null, and now I would like to give it a little twist. I’ve tried adding the “Twist” effect, but it moves the spheres out of between the two cylinders. What’s an easy way to do it?

If you have everything lined up correctly (spheres centered vertically over twist deformer) the spheres shouldn’t stay put. I’d check your alignment.
That said, however, Nick Woolridge did a brilliant set of video tutorials showing how to do really accurate DNA using MoGraph. Might want to check those out:
