June 7, 2005 at 9:16 pmI agree that shooting off a screen would be the most cool looking organic result. However this has been asked before a number of times so I’d check the archives.

June 8, 2005 at 7:18 amI don’t think you actually have to shoot the TV. Just connect a TV with static into an anolgue input and capture it. This way you won’t have the worries of actually shooting the TV. and you will probably get the “best quality” static (if there is such a thing).
then transfer modes etc etc

June 8, 2005 at 11:58 amPete Warden provides some very useful freeframe plugs and has converted them to AE native one of them “static” should do the trick find it at http://www.petewarden.com, he also provides a wrapper for other freeframe plugs some nice ones all free. check out the downloads page at http://www.resolume.com for more.
