How can I set up a tv monitor to veiw footage/edits in Premiere Pro 2 please?

Connect up your camera via firewire and then connect the composite outputs over to the television or monitor. If your TV does not have composite inputs then use a VCR to pass the signal through.
There are devices you can buy to do the same job. Check out the Canopus ADVC110 or any of the other ADVC units.

Just been bombed by a pop-up! my original message was zapped as well
so here goes with further info. I run Premiere Pro2 on a PC via a Sony A1E camcoder through firewire and a tv/video monitor through the Sony’s Video outputs.I can get a picture on the camcorder and TV monitor whilst capturing but not when editing?? I used to be able to do this with Premiere 6.0 and 6.5 but not now. Has anything changed that I need to know about? The settings in Premiere will not let me set the monitor as with the previous versions. I also have a second Video monitor that will also not let me set up the programme monitor to view the edits at a good size. The only option that I have is to assess edtits with the small programme monitor in the programme itself, not very satisfactory. I am stumped and nedd some suggestions please? thanks stevie H.

Be aware that HDV can not be viewed that way. For HDV you need a graphics card that has component outputs, like the Matrox Parhelia PAVe or the NVidia Quadro FX-560.
If you mean DV, then it is probably a setup in your camera.
