    Hi

I’m a film student in South Africa and I’ve just started using After Effects so I’m not all that clued up with the program. I need help with a couple of effects:

The first is an effect for a title sequence. What I have in mind is the text either fading in onscreen or appearing onscreen with a sand effect and then being blown away like the words themselves are made of sand. I aslo need help on how to create or get a metallic font like that used in THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK title sequence.

The other effect is a piece of paper flying out a window. I don’t know if I need a 3D model of paper or if I need footage of a piece of paper or anyhting else. Any advice, suggestions, tutorials, links to tutorials, or tutorials themselves (Especially video tutorials cause they help me alot and I don’t have to waste time looking for buttons) would be greatly appreciated!!!! Anything!!!!!

    Thanks
    Sean

P.S. Is there anyone who knows about 3D CGI computer graphics at creative cow? I just want to know how to make someone from footage morph into a creature like a werewolf. Like a person in a horror movie transforming into a werewolf. The werewolf can be created from scratch or a downloaded model. Any tutorials or anything else for that is also greatly appreciated. If http://www.creativecow.com does not deal with CGI effects and tutorials could someone please point me in the right direction to go and find out. Thanks!!!

For 3D stuff, it depends on what package you are using. 3DCafe.com is a good all-around resource as is flay.com. If you use Lightwave, then http://www.spinquad.com is the consumate resource for that application.
