Im not understanding you too clearly. When you right click on the
Trimmer window you can select video only or Audio only, so that when
you drag it to the timeline only that selection will be dragged.
Or you can right click and drag your selection and it will prompt
you as to what you want.
What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Do you wish to Mute the Audio while you Preview the Media in the Trimmer?

OK, using the “Dim” control I could lower to something like -12Db. This was a short stretch to lowering the DIM Internal Prefs Value from -12db down to -100db.

Using the K/S Ctrl+Shift+F12 it now “MUTES” the Trimmer using the k/s. If I was using this on a regular basis I’d be inclined to make a shorter k/s Combo. But there again, I really can’t think why I’d be wanting to do it in the first place?

    Cheers

    [Steve Rhoden] “i see.”

You do? I don’t. I can’t see where I’d use it. Now if there is a purpose for it, I’ll listen real hard.

It’s been a year, but I had the same problem today and found this simple solution. This doesn’t affect the audio of the clips on the timeline.
    View>Mixer Preview Fader
And that’s it. Maybe it’ll help somebody.
