Turned off auto rendering… but the program is still auto rendering.
I am exporting a large project file and Final Cut begins auto rendering at some point during the export, filling up my disc space and stopping the export. I have turned off auto rendering under user preferences. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If a file isn’t rendered, then it will be rendered on export, except only temporarily. Your sequence won’t be rendered after export IOW.
If you send to compressor, it will ignore the sequence settings and render or re render your sequence directly to the codec chosen in compressor.
