I’ve been thinking about this idea.
Old Betacam lenses are 2/3.
What about those lenses?
There are lot of them (Fuji, Canon) and very cheap.

May 4, 2011 at 5:41 pmTo use a 2/3″ lens you will need something like the AbelCine HDx2 B4/PL Optical Adapter which doubles the focal-length and enables the lens to fully cover the much bigger m4/3 sensor.
I expect that this optical adapter is not cheap.

Guy, many of these Betacam lenses have “duplicator”.
I don’t know much, but a 2/3 lens is a 2/3 lens for HD and for SD. The difference may be that in the SD the lens is framed for 4×3 and in the HD for 16×9.
The thing is to know if with the same adapter those lenses would work.
HD lenses are great but too expensive.
Don’t know if I’m saying a “bêtise”. -

May 4, 2011 at 8:44 pmI think you will have to test, as I can`t imagine that it is this easy, otherwise more people would be using these old lenses, and AbelCine could not charge a lot for their optical duplicator.
