Turn off clip info
Posted by Javier Hernandez on October 4, 2008 at 10:52 pmCan the name info that appears in the timeline, to the left of each video or audio clip be turned off? Can’t find it in the manual.

October 5, 2008 at 4:42 pmThere is a small triangular shaped button, bottom left of your timeline, click it and deselect “Show Audio/Video Clip names”

October 5, 2008 at 6:28 pmThanks Simon.
Is this the same submenu where we have “Show video filmstrips, Show Audio Waveforms” etc? I don’t have “Show Audio/Video Clip names” option there. Is this the right place? Running v 6.0.
The thing is that I’m editing small audio clips (footsteps) and the clip names block the waveform start.
Thanks again!

October 8, 2008 at 8:49 amHey J,
I’m running 6.04 and yeah, it’s in the menu that you just described.
I can’t remember it’s location in 6.0, but it may be under user preferences on the timeline tab. But don’t quote me on that!!

October 8, 2008 at 5:13 pmI don’t believe the function was in 6.0. Don’t quote me on that, but I don’t think it was introduced until 6.0.2.
All the best,
Tom
