  • Turn off Automatic Tool Suggestions in timeline?

I’ve just come over from FC and am enjoying PPro 6 quite a bit. I’ve been a little frustrated with the way my cursor will switch to a “suggested tool” as I move it in the timeline. I like to select the tool with the keyboard and have it stick until I’ve made my edit.

Is there any way to turn this off, so I can only select tools via keyboard or icons, not autoswitch in the sequence?

Head to preferences/trim and un-check the “Allow Selection tool to choose…” option.

    Should take away those suggestions.

    Hi,
I’m still having this issue even with the preference unchecked. Is there any way to make the selection tool be JUST an arrow?

    Thanks,
    Doug
