    i am doing a music video,is there a way to turn the waveforn in the timeline on and off when needed, i dont want it there all the time.

    This may be a record for me. Go to the Video Transition and open Iris/Oval iris. Drop this transition on your edit point. Double click the transition on the timeline and a window opens. Click on Feather and use the Border slider to set the amount of feathering you want on the iris transition.
