I am trying to restripe my drives and completly start over. I could not digitize, play any video from the time line or even look at a small piece of video with out the computer freezing and booting out of the AVID software.

I was able to go into utilities and find ADU2 and after “scan bus” i found most of my my hard drives. I Unstriped them and told them to “move to raw”. When I told ADU2 to Partition the raw devices and to partition the size to 4 gigabytes, I get a message that says “failed to get driver number -43.

First of all, am I doing the right thing in order to stripe them? Will this help to reestablish the hard drives so I may not have and problems when I reboot and try to edit? Any ideas guys? I really need help…… thanks, Bud

What operating system are you using? Are you using a hardware RAID or onboard/software RAID? What size are your drives? What are your overall system specs? What made you think the problem was the hard drives?
