    Having some problems.
I just bought a new video card. NVIDIA GeForce 6200.
Comes with a DVI and VGA and S Jack.
I’ve got a ViewSonic VA1912wb Widescreen flatscreen that’s hooked up to the DVI(primary display) and an older Dell PC monitor hooked up to the VGA(secondary display). Not doing anything at this point with the s jack.
Changed my settings, everthing seems to be right. When I try to spread Premiere across the secondary monitor it will go across but snaps back to the primary when I let go of the mouse. I can move premiere to either screen but not across both – except the tool bar- it seems to go wherever. Likewise if I have Premiere in the secondary monitor and try to spread it to the left it snaps back to the secondary monitor. What am I doing wrong?
Running xp pro with dual athlon 1900+
    thanks

I use two monitors. The trick for me is to not maximize the window (middle square in the top right corner), but use the intermediate size and then drag the window across both screens to the size you would like.

See if that works for you.

No, as I said in my post I can drag it but it snaps back. You can’t drag a maximized screeen.

    Mike-

That’s the trick – DON’T maximize the screen – stretch it instead. It is the only way it works. Then, make sure you save your workspace settings for future projects.

Okay, sorry, I should have said stretch. I can stretch it across but it snaps back as soon as I let go of the mouse.

This happens with all programs. Could it be the way I set up the dual monitors?

It was the way I had set up the monitors. Evidently there is a box to check for spanning across both monitors in the Nvidia software. It now works.
    Thanks for the suggestions!
