trying to record TV screen captures
Is this even possible with the KiPro?
Trying to record some live screen footage from a ROKU device. I’m going HDMI out of the ROKU into the KiPro via HDMI. Then HDMI back into the TV so I can monitor it. I’ve tried everything I can think of and it’s not working. The ROKU doesn’t seem to want to talk to the KiPro.
Should I be able to record live screen captures?

The HDMI system is set up so that the equipment communicates with each other. In that communication is the permissions code that tells the devices whether they can transfer, copy, or record signals. Unfortunately, unless you can get in between the devices talking to each other and change the permissions, hack it, they won’t let you record what they believe is protected content. That’s the HDMI gotcha!
