  • Trying to playback 1080p25 in full screen/client monitor

Posted by Olivier Prudhomme on October 29, 2016 at 9:59 am

When working with a 29.97 project I have no issues viewing full screen.
But when switching to 1080p25 (footage shot in Europe), I lose the full screen playback.
Client coming tomorrow… would be nice if he could watch the big monitor.

    Ideas/tips?

    Thx

    I mean switching projects.
Would BM Ultra mini monitor work you think?

You’ll need a TV/Monitor capable of playing a PAL signal.

But you are saying that you can’t go FULL SCREEN on your computer display?

it goes full screen but frozen image or even black.

I bought the BM Ultrastudio monitor but I don’t think it works for FCP7

Yeah, more current BMD products and drivers don’t work with FCP 7…I have the same issue.

so how do you use a TV as a client monitor with 25p footage, PAL?

You have to have one that’s capable of displaying PAL. I haven’t had the need, but I think my professional monitor is capable of that…although I’m not sure. I might have to research that.
