I recently did a multicamera shoot of a conference. I had a lav on the speaker but the room had a very bad echo. That echo is showing up in the audio of my video. Any suggestions on filters, adjustments, etc that I could make to mask it? I am editing the video in FCP X but was thinking about exporting the audio into SoundTrack Pro.

Echo is very difficult to remove. Under levels try Enveloper. You can start with the preset of “Room Killer”.
