  • trying to freeze frame from scrolling text…..

Posted by Steve Pindyski on August 6, 2007 at 7:12 pm

Hi…..I have scrolling text coming up from the bottom of the screen and would like to stop it on the last line of text. So I took a freeze frame of it and placed it above the scrolling text track. What happens is that the text below keeps scrolling by while the still (freeze frame) text is there.

I don’t know what happened for I was able to do this just a week ago.

    Thanks for your time.

Take out that last line from the scrolling text. Create it as a file that you simply fly as you’d like it to from the bottom up then stopping as the real roll continues to go off screen.

Hey Jerry! thanks for the help. I tried doing what you said and it didn’t work.
When I was originally putting this piece together, I had no problems with it. I trashed my preferences thinking something got twisted somewhere. But, I still have the problem.

I solved this problem by creating a frozen frame of the frame of scrolling text where I wanted it to stop. Then I put that frame in the timeline and I faded to black the scrolling text within that same frame. If you blade cut it instead of fading it to black the scrolling text will last less time, and that is not what you are looking for…

    Hope this helps:)
