  Trying to edit multiple formats for broadcast

  Greetings, herd. I’m working on a weekly project that runs on a local cable channel. The channel broadcasts in SD. I have three different clips to mix together in FCP, which are:

  -The footage we shoot with a Sony XDCAM EX-1, shot in 1080p.
  -Music videos ripped from DVD
  -Third party graphics, done in SD

  I’m having issues coming up with the best workflow to ultimately get all of this stuff edited and then downconverted to SD for the broadcast. I look at my broadcast monitor during the editing process, but it just doesn’t look that great. It’s ok, but not great. If I’ve provided enough info here, can someone suggest some quick ideas?
